It's a short list, but I'm working on it.
My fiction appears in Literary Orphans Journal, 72 Hours of Insanity: An Anthology of the Games, vol. 2, and Foliate Oak Literary Magazine.
Non-fiction: Writer's Workout blog, Hungry? Chicago (editor), and Hungry? Chicago: Family.
My fiction tends to run on the darker side. Even the comedy, which I prefer as black as my very soul.
Included in this tab are stories that didn't get published, at least not in the traditional sense. I hope you enjoy.
It seems it's easier to get a readership on Facebook these days, so I created an author page there at https://www.facebook.com/jenniferworrellwriter. However, the more expressive articles will be archived here as well.
In another life, I wrote for a blog hosted by Hungry City Guides. I had a semi-regular column called
The Tightwad's Table, which featured restaurants offering entrées at $10 or less per person. Eventually, the blog petered out and died.
As I began archiving these articles*, I realized that nearly all the restaurants I wrote about, except those in
The Tightwad's Table segments, had gone out of business. I decided to reboot this theme and start fresh. After I moved on from Hungry?, I thought, why stop there? With this economy, we're all looking for more cheap eats.*Where are these articles, you ask? Well...let's just say Jenny ain't too tech savvy. Pretend they were genius.
I tried this for a minute before I was unceremoniously fired. Did you know "don't call us, we'll call you" can be used outside of Hollywood?
